Daniel Silva’s passion for engineering began as a child in Lima, Peru. When he was very young, Daniel’s father purchased vacant land outside the main city with the dream of building the family home. This home was both the space where Daniel’s strong sense of family and community was nurtured, as well as the home that sparked his lifelong interest in how physical structures are designed and built. Daniel saw firsthand how thoughtfully constructed dwellings can directly impact human experience. This heartfelt impression remains the driving force in Daniel’s work to ensure that structures are safe, sustainable, and built with users at the center.

As a professional committed to collaboration, Daniel believes in the power of sharing knowledge with others. This way of practicing engineering has grown his own skill set, as well as strengthened his capacity as a mentor engineer. Daniel consistently works to create an environment of learning and growth with his teams. He recognizes that the key to successful design is shared know-how that leads to the collective visioning of projects. It is also this style of partnership and exchange that ensures that Daniel’s projects are visionary, but also designed practically, with budgetary, resource, and material constraints in mind. Daniel is a licensed Structural Engineer and Civil Engineer who has been working in the field since 2004. His portfolio includes a large variety of projects, such as equipment anchorage, residential retrofits, rollercoasters, fire stations, high rises, and airports.
