San Francisco International Airport Fire Station #3 is a two-story building that is laterally supported by Buckling Restrained Braced Frames (BRB’s). The roof and second level is framed with composite steel beams and due to the nature of the soil, the foundation structure is supported over piles and grade beams. The building is strategically located near the airport main entrance, with five bays properly equipped to accommodate aircraft rescue/emergency.
